There's a new announcement in your building.

Emergency Work Orders


Given the new measures taken by the provincial government regarding COVID-19, CAPREIT will only be accepting and acting upon emergency work orders until February 8, 2021. In the best interest of community spread prevention, we will be limiting entry into your suite to only emergency situations, much like we did for the first lockdown in the spring. Please see below for a list of emergency and essential work orders. All non-essential and non-emergency work orders (i.e. any work order not found in the list below) will be serviced at a later date. Emergency work: • Leaks • Life safety devices (e.g. smoke alarms, CO detectors, etc.) • Clogged drains that can cause overflows • Clogged toilets, if there is only one inside the suite • Broken windows • Heat issues (following a no-heat check via phone) • Electrical issues, on a case-by-case basis • Malfunctioning fridges • Malfunctioning stoves • Malfunctioning washers and dryers • Malfunctioning locks on main doors that can lead to security issues • Health and safety issues • Other emergencies with the potential for severe loss (e.g. fires, floods, etc.) We will continue to monitor this situation very closely and we will communicate with you immediately if there is a change to our processes to further accommodate this situation or when we will resume non-essential work order again. We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation.
